L10n:Grouse l10n release status

This page is intended for tracking l10n development, testing/QA status and overall release progress for grouse (aka 1.2.x).

[edit] Some things you should know about

There are some important changes in release process when compared to grackle, please read about them. Announcement message in list archive with files for translation in zip archive.

We will be happy to answer all questions, l10n list is probably best place.

[edit] Grouse l10n release process

  1. Make translation
  2. Put it in l10n svn
  3. Check if it is green on stats page (for grouse branch)
    • if it is not - check errors simply by clicking on language code and correct them
  4. Change status to translated in the release chart below
  5. Test builds , ask people for qa
    • update the chart
  6. If you think your locale is ready for release, opt in on l10n mailing list
    • there will be thread: Opting in to 1.2.0
Don't forget to make/track changes after final release so we could make bugfix releases; there will be announcement about each one on list, tracking stats page should be enough too.

    • ready to be released but hasn't been yet (dark green): style="background:#51ff51; color:black"
    • ready to be released and has been (light green): style="background:#bfffbf; color:black"
  • We're testing
    • pending QA (light blue): style="background:#00ecff; color:black"
    • delay or problem (yellow): style="background:yellow; color:black"
    • test failed (red): style="background:red; color:black"
      • send description of a problem on l10n list or fill bug in bugzilla (product Flock, component Internationalization)
  • Localization is missing!
